Downgrading Your Plan
You can downgrade your plan anytime. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Before Downgrading
Section titled “Before Downgrading”Review what you’ll lose:

How to Downgrade
Section titled “How to Downgrade”-
Go to Settings
Click Settings in the sidebar.

Click Billing
Select the Billing tab.

View plans
Click Change Plan.

Select lower plan
Choose the plan you want to downgrade to.

Review changes
See what you’ll lose and when the change takes effect.

Confirm downgrade
Click Downgrade to confirm.
When Downgrade Takes Effect
Section titled “When Downgrade Takes Effect”Timing
Section titled “Timing”- Downgrade requested: Immediately recorded
- Access maintained: Until end of billing cycle
- New limits apply: Start of next billing cycle
Example
Section titled “Example”- Current plan: Growth ($49/mo)
- Downgrade to: Starter ($19/mo)
- Billing date: 15th of month
- Downgrade requested: March 3rd
- Growth access until: March 14th
- Starter starts: March 15th
What Happens to Your Data
Section titled “What Happens to Your Data”Products
Section titled “Products”If exceeding new limit:
- Products over limit become inactive in feeds
- Data preserved in Feedy McFeed Feed
- Can be re-activated if you upgrade
Example:
- Current: 5,000 products
- Downgrading to Starter (1,000 limit)
- 1,000 most recently updated products stay active
- 4,000 products paused
If exceeding new limit:
- Most recently used feeds stay active
- Older feeds paused (not deleted)
- Can be reactivated by upgrading
AI Credits
Section titled “AI Credits”- Unused credits don’t transfer
- New credit allocation starts next cycle
GMC Connection
Section titled “GMC Connection”If downgrading to Free:
- Connection disabled
- Historical data preserved
- Can reconnect after upgrading
Managing the Transition
Section titled “Managing the Transition”Before Downgrade Date
Section titled “Before Downgrade Date”- Review which products will be affected
- Decide which feeds are most important
- Export any data you want to preserve
- Update platform configurations if needed
On Downgrade Date
Section titled “On Downgrade Date”- Excess products automatically paused
- Excess feeds automatically paused
- Features restricted to new plan level
Adjusting to Fewer Feeds
Section titled “Adjusting to Fewer Feeds”If you have 10 feeds but downgrading to 3-feed limit:
- Decide which 3 feeds to keep
- Delete or pause others before downgrade
- Or let system auto-select most recent
Canceling a Downgrade
Section titled “Canceling a Downgrade”Changed your mind before the downgrade takes effect?
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Find scheduled downgrade
- Click Cancel Downgrade
- Continue on current plan
Downgrading to Free
Section titled “Downgrading to Free”Special considerations for downgrading to Free:
Lost Features
Section titled “Lost Features”- GMC connection disconnected
- Only Google Shopping platform available
- 1 feed maximum
- 100 product limit
- 50 AI credits/month
Data Preservation
Section titled “Data Preservation”- All product data preserved
- Feeds preserved (but inactive)
- Can restore everything by upgrading
Refunds
Section titled “Refunds”Downgrade Refunds
Section titled “Downgrade Refunds”No refunds for remaining time when downgrading:
- You keep access until end of billing cycle
- New rate applies next cycle
Cancel for Refund
Section titled “Cancel for Refund”If you need to cancel entirely, see Shopify’s refund policy or contact support.
Common Downgrade Scenarios
Section titled “Common Downgrade Scenarios”Seasonal Business
Section titled “Seasonal Business”- Peak season: Growth plan
- Off-season: Starter plan
- Data preserved between changes
Testing Complete
Section titled “Testing Complete”- Evaluated with paid plan
- Returning to Free to decide
- Can upgrade anytime later
Reducing Product Count
Section titled “Reducing Product Count”- Removed products from Shopify
- No longer need higher limit
- Downgrade to save money
Troubleshooting

- Check for pending payments
- Contact support
Lost access before expected

- Verify downgrade date
- Contact support if incorrect
Data missing after downgrade

- Upgrade to restore access
- Contact support if data appears missing
