Creating a TikTok Catalog Feed
TikTok Catalog feeds power product ads on TikTok, including Video Shopping Ads and Catalog Listing Ads. This guide shows you how to create a compatible feed.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Products synced in Feedy McFeed Feed
- TikTok for Business account
- TikTok Ads Manager access
Creating Your TikTok Catalog Feed
Section titled “Creating Your TikTok Catalog Feed”-
Navigate to Feeds
Click Feeds in the left sidebar, then Create Feed.

Select TikTok
Choose TikTok as your platform.

Name your feed
Use a descriptive name like “TikTok Catalog - All Products”.

Choose format
Select CSV (TikTok’s preferred format).

Select products
Choose products to include. Consider:
- Products that perform well visually
- Items in your target demographic’s price range

Create the feed
Click Create Feed to generate.
Required Attributes for TikTok

TikTok-Specific Considerations

Section titled “Video Content”TikTok is a video-first platform. While not required, product videos significantly improve performance:
- Video format: MP4 recommended
- Duration: 5-60 seconds
- Aspect ratio: 9:16 (vertical) or 1:1
- Include products clearly in the video
Image Requirements

Product Selection

Submitting to TikTok Ads Manager
Section titled “Submitting to TikTok Ads Manager”Setting Up Your Catalog
Section titled “Setting Up Your Catalog”- Log into TikTok Ads Manager
- Go to Assets > Catalogs
- Click Create to make a new catalog
- Name your catalog and select your industry
Adding Your Feed
Section titled “Adding Your Feed”- In your catalog, click Add Products
- Select Data feed
- Choose Scheduled feed (recommended)
- Paste your Feedy McFeed Feed URL
- Set update schedule (every 6-24 hours)
- Click Confirm
Testing Your Feed
Section titled “Testing Your Feed”After uploading:
- Check the Diagnostics tab for errors
- Review product samples in the catalog
- Fix any flagged issues before running ads
