Including/Excluding Products

Filters determine which products appear in each feed. Use them to create targeted feeds for different platforms, markets, or campaigns.

Filter Types

Configuring Filters

Access Feed Filters

Section titled “Access Feed Filters”
  1. Go to Feeds > select feed > Settings
  2. Scroll to Product Selection section
  3. Configure filters
  4. Save and regenerate

Collection Filter

Section titled “Collection Filter”

Include only products from specific Shopify collections.

Setup

Section titled “Setup”
  1. Enable Filter by collection
  2. Select collections to include
  3. Products in ANY selected collection are included

Use Cases

Section titled “Use Cases”
  • “Google Shopping” collection for ad-ready products
  • Seasonal collections for holiday campaigns
  • Brand collections for brand-specific feeds

Product Type Filter

Section titled “Product Type Filter”

Include products matching specific product types.

Setup

Section titled “Setup”
  1. Enable Filter by product type
  2. Enter product types (one per line)
  3. Matches are case-insensitive

Vendor Filter

Include products from specific vendors/brands.

Setup

  1. Enable Filter by vendor
  2. Select vendors from dropdown
  3. Only products from selected vendors included

Use Cases

  • Excluding certain brands

Combining Filters

Filters combine with AND logic:

Collection: "Summer Sale"
AND Product type: "Dresses"
AND Availability: "In stock"


= Only in-stock dresses from Summer Sale collection

Include vs Exclude Logic

  • “Include products in collection X”
  • “Include products with tag Y”

Exclude Mode

Products matching filter are NOT included:

  • “Exclude products with tag ‘no-ads’”
  • “Exclude out of stock products”

Combining Include and Exclude

  • Exclude: Products violating Google policies

Facebook Catalog:

  • Filter: All products with images 500x500+
  • Exclude: Tag “facebook-exclude”

Expected products missing

Check:

  • Product matches all filters (AND logic)
  • Product not in exclude list
  • Product is active in Shopify
  • Product synced to Feedy McFeed Feed

Unexpected products included

Check:

  • Filter configuration is correct
  • Product in expected collection
  • No conflicting include rules

Filter count seems wrong

Verify:

  • Sync products to get latest data
  • Check for archived products
  • Review filter logic carefully
