Quick Start Guide
This guide walks you through creating your first Google Shopping feed. You’ll have a working feed URL in about 5 minutes.
Before You Begin
Section titled “Before You Begin”Make sure you have:
- Feedy McFeed Feed installed on your Shopify store
- At least one active product in your catalog
- Products synced (check the dashboard for product count)
Create Your First Feed
Section titled “Create Your First Feed”-
Go to the Feeds page
From the Feedy McFeed Feed dashboard, click Feeds in the left sidebar.

Click “Create Feed”
Click the Create Feed button in the top-right corner.

Choose your platform
Select Google Shopping as your platform. This is the most common choice for getting started.

Name your feed
Enter a descriptive name like “Google Shopping - All Products” or “US Google Feed”.

Select products to include
Choose which products to include:
- All products — Include everything in your catalog
- By collection — Only products in specific collections
- By product type — Filter by product type
- By vendor — Filter by vendor/brand

Choose your format
Select XML (recommended for Google). You can also use TSV if you prefer.

Review and create
Review your settings and click Create Feed.
Your Feed is Ready
Section titled “Your Feed is Ready”After creation, Feedy McFeed Feed generates your feed in the background. This usually takes less than a minute for stores with under 10,000 products.
You’ll see:
- Feed URL — Copy this to use in Google Merchant Center
- Health Score — How well your product data meets Google’s requirements
- Product Count — How many products are in the feed

Improve Your Feed
Section titled “Improve Your Feed”Get better results by:
- Fixing validation issues — Address any warnings or errors
- Optimizing titles with AI — Improve click-through rates
- Adding missing attributes — Fill in GTINs, brands, etc.
Set Up Auto-Updates
Section titled “Set Up Auto-Updates”Keep your feed fresh:
Common Questions
Section titled “Common Questions”How often should my feed update?
Section titled “How often should my feed update?”For most stores, every 6-12 hours works well. If you change prices frequently, consider more frequent updates.
Do I need to manually regenerate?
Section titled “Do I need to manually regenerate?”No. Once you set up scheduling, Feedy McFeed Feed automatically regenerates your feed when products change.
Can I create feeds for other platforms?
Section titled “Can I create feeds for other platforms?”Yes! Follow the same process and select Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, or Microsoft as your platform.
