Disconnecting GMC

If you need to disconnect your Google Merchant Center account from Feedy McFeed Feed, follow this guide to do it safely without disrupting your product listings.

  1. Go to GMC settings

    In Feedy McFeed Feed, click GMC in the sidebar.

  2. Click Disconnect

    Find the Disconnect button in the account section.

  3. Confirm disconnection

    Review what will happen and click Confirm.

  4. Verify disconnection

    The GMC section should show “Not connected”.

To connect a different GMC account:

  1. Disconnect current account

    Follow disconnection steps above.

  2. Wait for confirmation

    Ensure disconnection is complete.

  3. Connect new account

    Click Connect and sign in with new Google account.

  4. Verify new connection

    Check Merchant ID matches intended account.

If you disconnected accidentally or for troubleshooting:

  1. Go to GMC
  2. Click Connect Google Merchant Center
  3. Sign in with same Google account
  4. Grant permissions
  5. Historical sync resumes

To completely remove Feedy McFeed Feed access:

  1. Go to Google Account

    Visit Google Account Security

  2. Find third-party apps

    Click on “Third-party apps with account access”

  3. Find Feedy McFeed Feed

    Locate Feedy McFeed Feed in the list

  4. Remove access

    Click and select “Remove Access”

This prevents reconnection until you re-authorize.

If switching to another feed app:

  1. Export your product customizations from Feedy McFeed Feed
  2. Disconnect GMC
  3. Remove Feedy McFeed Feed feed URL from GMC
  4. Set up new feed URL in GMC

To avoid downtime:

  1. Set up new feed (different name)
  2. Add new feed URL to GMC
  3. Wait for new feed to process
  4. Remove old Feedy McFeed Feed URL
  5. Disconnect Feedy McFeed Feed from GMC

Check:

  • You have admin access to the store
  • No pending operations
  • Try refreshing the page

Solutions:

  • Clear browser cache
  • Log out and back in
  • Revoke access from Google directly

Cause: Feed URL may have been removed or changed. Solution: Re-add feed URL to GMC (no reconnection needed).

If you’ve disconnected and want to remove all GMC-related data:

  1. Disconnect from Feedy McFeed Feed (done)
  2. Revoke access from Google Account (optional)
  3. Remove feed URLs from GMC (if desired)
  4. Delete feeds in Feedy McFeed Feed (if desired)

Will my products be removed from Google Shopping?

No, unless you also remove your feed URL from GMC.

Yes, you can reconnect anytime by going through the connection flow again.

Feedy McFeed Feed retains your historical data. Reconnecting will resume syncing from where you left off.
