Disconnecting GMC
If you need to disconnect your Google Merchant Center account from Feedy McFeed Feed, follow this guide to do it safely without disrupting your product listings.
Before Disconnecting
Section titled “Before Disconnecting”Consider what you’ll lose:

When to Disconnect
Section titled “When to Disconnect”Common reasons:
- Switching to a different GMC account
- Troubleshooting connection issues
- Changing account permissions
- Preparing for account migration
Disconnecting from Feedy McFeed Feed
Section titled “Disconnecting from Feedy McFeed Feed”-
Go to GMC settings
In Feedy McFeed Feed, click GMC in the sidebar.

Click Disconnect
Find the Disconnect button in the account section.

Confirm disconnection
Review what will happen and click Confirm.

Verify disconnection
The GMC section should show “Not connected”.
What Happens After
Section titled “What Happens After”Immediately
Section titled “Immediately”- OAuth tokens deleted
- Status sync stops
- Performance data stops updating
- Direct upload disabled
Your Feeds
Section titled “Your Feeds”| Feed Setup | What Happens |

Historical Data
Section titled “Historical Data”- Past performance data retained in Feedy McFeed Feed
- New data won’t be added
Switching GMC Accounts
Section titled “Switching GMC Accounts”To connect a different GMC account:

Disconnect current account
Follow disconnection steps above.

Wait for confirmation
Ensure disconnection is complete.

Connect new account
Click Connect and sign in with new Google account.

Verify new connection
Check Merchant ID matches intended account.
Reconnecting Same Account
Section titled “Reconnecting Same Account”If you disconnected accidentally or for troubleshooting:
- Go to GMC
- Click Connect Google Merchant Center
- Sign in with same Google account
- Grant permissions
- Historical sync resumes
Revoking Access from Google
Section titled “Revoking Access from Google”To completely remove Feedy McFeed Feed access:

Go to Google Account
Visit Google Account Security

Find third-party apps
Click on “Third-party apps with account access”

Find Feedy McFeed Feed
Locate Feedy McFeed Feed in the list

Remove access
Click and select “Remove Access”
This prevents reconnection until you re-authorize.
Migrating to New Setup
Section titled “Migrating to New Setup”Moving to Different Feed Management
Section titled “Moving to Different Feed Management”If switching to another feed app:
- Export your product customizations from Feedy McFeed Feed
- Disconnect GMC
- Remove Feedy McFeed Feed feed URL from GMC
- Set up new feed URL in GMC
Keeping Products Live During Migration
Section titled “Keeping Products Live During Migration”To avoid downtime:
- Set up new feed (different name)
- Add new feed URL to GMC
- Wait for new feed to process
- Remove old Feedy McFeed Feed URL
- Disconnect Feedy McFeed Feed from GMC
Troubleshooting Disconnection
Section titled “Troubleshooting Disconnection”Can’t disconnect
Section titled “Can’t disconnect”Check:
- You have admin access to the store
- No pending operations
- Try refreshing the page
Still seeing connection
Section titled “Still seeing connection”Solutions:
- Clear browser cache
- Log out and back in
- Revoke access from Google directly
Products disappeared after disconnect
Section titled “Products disappeared after disconnect”Cause: Feed URL may have been removed or changed. Solution: Re-add feed URL to GMC (no reconnection needed).
After Complete Removal
Section titled “After Complete Removal”If you’ve disconnected and want to remove all GMC-related data:
- Disconnect from Feedy McFeed Feed (done)
- Revoke access from Google Account (optional)
- Remove feed URLs from GMC (if desired)
- Delete feeds in Feedy McFeed Feed (if desired)
Will my products be removed from Google Shopping?
Section titled “Will my products be removed from Google Shopping?”No, unless you also remove your feed URL from GMC.
Can I reconnect later?
Section titled “Can I reconnect later?”Yes, you can reconnect anytime by going through the connection flow again.
Is my data deleted?
Section titled “Is my data deleted?”Feedy McFeed Feed retains your historical data. Reconnecting will resume syncing from where you left off.
Do I need to disconnect to change settings?
Section titled “Do I need to disconnect to change settings?”No, most settings can be changed while connected. Only disconnect if switching accounts or troubleshooting.
