Scheduling Automatic Feed Updates
Automatic updates keep your feeds synchronized with your Shopify store. Configure schedules to match your inventory change frequency and platform fetch times.
Why Schedule Updates

Scheduling Options

Section titled “Interval-Based”Regenerate at regular intervals:

Time-Based (Cron)

Section titled “Configuring Schedules”Setting Interval Schedule
Section titled “Setting Interval Schedule”- Go to Feeds > select feed > Settings
- Find Update Schedule section
- Choose Interval
- Select interval (1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours)
- Click Save
Setting Time-Based Schedule
Section titled “Setting Time-Based Schedule”- Go to Feeds > select feed > Settings
- Find Update Schedule section
- Choose Specific times
- Click Add time
- Enter time (in your timezone)
- Repeat for additional times
- Click Save
Coordinating with Platform Fetch

Section titled “Google Merchant Center”If GMC fetches at 6:00 AM:
- Schedule Feedy McFeed Feed regeneration at 4:00 AM
- Allows time for generation
- Fresh data ready for fetch
Multiple Platforms

- Schedule more frequent updates, OR
- Time updates before earliest fetch

Generation Status

Best Practices

- Wastes server resources
- May hit rate limits
- Increases costs
Recommended: Match regeneration frequency to actual change frequency.
Time Zone Awareness
Section titled “Time Zone Awareness”Schedules use your account timezone:
- Go to Settings > Account
- Verify timezone is correct
- Schedules display in your timezone
Leave Buffer Time
Section titled “Leave Buffer Time”Schedule regeneration with buffer:
- Generation can take 1-30 minutes
- Large catalogs take longer
- Allow time before platform fetch
Advanced: Webhook Triggers
Section titled “Advanced: Webhook Triggers”For real-time updates:
- Enable webhook triggers in settings
- When Shopify product changes, webhook fires
- Feedy McFeed Feed queues regeneration
- Feed updates within minutes
Pausing Schedules
Section titled “Pausing Schedules”To temporarily stop automatic updates:
- Go to feed Settings
- Toggle Automatic updates off
- Click Save
Schedules remain configured but don’t execute.
