My Products Are Disapproved in GMC
Product disapprovals happen when your products don’t meet Google’s requirements. This guide helps you identify issues and fix them.
Finding Disapproved Products
Section titled “Finding Disapproved Products”In Feedy McFeed Feed
Section titled “In Feedy McFeed Feed”- Go to Products
- Filter by: GMC Status = Disapproved
- Review affected products
In Google Merchant Center
Section titled “In Google Merchant Center”- Go to GMC > Diagnostics
- View “Product issues”
- Filter by “Disapproved”
Common Disapproval Reasons
Section titled “Common Disapproval Reasons”Missing Identifiers
Section titled “Missing Identifiers”Error: “Missing unique product identifier”
Required: GTIN, or brand + MPN
Fix:
- Add GTIN (UPC/EAN) if available
- Or add both brand AND MPN
- For custom products: Set
identifier_exists: false
Price Mismatch
Section titled “Price Mismatch”Error: “Price in feed doesn’t match landing page”
Cause: Feed price ≠ website price
Fix:
- Sync prices in Shopify
- Regenerate feed
- Request re-review in GMC
Image Issues
Section titled “Image Issues”Error: “Image quality insufficient” or “Image doesn’t meet requirements”
Causes:
- Image too small
- Promotional text on image
- Wrong format
Fix:
- Use images at least 100x100 (250x250 for apparel)
- Remove text overlays
- Use JPG or PNG format
Missing Required Attributes
Section titled “Missing Required Attributes”Error: “Missing required attribute”
Common missing:
- Brand
- Condition
- Google Product Category
- Apparel attributes (color, size, gender, age_group)
Fix:
- Identify missing attribute
- Add to product in Feedy McFeed Feed
- Regenerate feed
Policy Violations

Common causes:
- Prohibited products
- Misleading claims
- Counterfeit goods
- Restricted content
Fix:
- Review Google Shopping policies
- Remove or modify violating content
- Request review after fixing

- Click Regenerate
- Wait for completion
Step 4: Request Review (if needed)

- Click “Request review”
- Wait for Google’s response
Bulk Fixing Disapprovals

- Identify common fix
- Bulk edit to apply fix
- Regenerate feed

- High-margin items
Lower Priority

- Low-traffic products
- Out-of-season items
