Connection Issues with GMC
GMC connection issues prevent status syncing and direct upload. This guide helps you diagnose and fix connection problems.
Checking Connection Status
Section titled “Checking Connection Status”- Go to GMC in the sidebar
- View connection status
- Check for error messages
Status Indicators

Common Connection Issues

Section titled “”Reconnect needed””Cause: OAuth token expired
Fix:
- Click Reconnect
- Sign in to Google
- Grant permissions
- Connection restored
”Access denied”
Section titled “”Access denied””Causes:
- Google account doesn’t have GMC access
- Permissions revoked
- Wrong account used
Fix:
- Verify you have GMC admin access
- Use correct Google account
- Check GMC user permissions
”No Merchant Center found”
Section titled “”No Merchant Center found””Cause: Account not linked to GMC
Fix:
- Create GMC account at merchants.google.com
- Or get access from organization admin
- Retry connection
Connection timeout
Section titled “Connection timeout”Cause: Network or Google service issue
Fix:
- Check internet connection
- Try again in a few minutes
- Verify Google services are up
Reconnecting GMC
Section titled “Reconnecting GMC”Standard Reconnect
Section titled “Standard Reconnect”- Go to GMC
- Click Reconnect (or Connect if disconnected)
- Sign in to Google
- Select Merchant ID
- Grant permissions
- Verify connection
If Reconnect Fails
Section titled “If Reconnect Fails”- Disconnect completely
- Clear browser cookies
- Try connecting fresh
- Use incognito window if issues persist
Permission Issues
Section titled “Permission Issues”Required Permissions
Section titled “Required Permissions”Feedy McFeed Feed needs:
- Content API access
- Merchant reports access
Checking Permissions in Google
Section titled “Checking Permissions in Google”- Go to Google Account Security
- Find “Third-party apps”
- Find Feedy McFeed Feed
- Verify permissions
Regranting Permissions
Section titled “Regranting Permissions”- Remove Feedy McFeed Feed from Google Account
- Disconnect in Feedy McFeed Feed
- Reconnect fresh
- Grant all permissions
Multiple GMC Accounts
Section titled “Multiple GMC Accounts”Selecting the Right Account
Section titled “Selecting the Right Account”If you have multiple GMC accounts:
- Note the correct Merchant ID
- During connection, select correct one
- Verify ID after connecting
Wrong Account Connected
Section titled “Wrong Account Connected”- Disconnect current account
- Reconnect with correct account
- Ensure signed into right Google account first
Sync Issues After Connection
Section titled “Sync Issues After Connection”Status Not Updating
Section titled “Status Not Updating”Check:
- Connection is active
- Sync schedule running
- No errors in sync log
Fix:
- Click Sync Status manually
- Wait for completion
- Verify data appears
Performance Data Missing
Section titled “Performance Data Missing”Causes:
- Just connected (needs time)
- No advertising running
- Reports API access issue
Fix:
- Wait 24-48 hours after connecting
- Verify ads are running
- Check connection has reports permission
Direct Upload Issues

Section titled “Upload Failing”Check:
- Connection is active
- Products meet GMC requirements
- No API quota issues
Fix:
- Check upload error messages
- Fix product issues
- Retry upload
Quota Exceeded
Section titled “Quota Exceeded”Cause: Too many API calls
Fix:
- Wait for quota reset (daily)
- Reduce upload frequency
- Use feed URL method instead
Troubleshooting Steps
Section titled “Troubleshooting Steps”Step 1: Test Connection
Section titled “Step 1: Test Connection”- Go to GMC settings
- Click Test Connection
- Check for errors
Step 2: Check Google Account
Section titled “Step 2: Check Google Account”- Verify signed into correct Google account
- Confirm GMC access
- Check no 2FA issues
Step 3: Refresh OAuth
Section titled “Step 3: Refresh OAuth”- Disconnect GMC
- Clear browser cache
- Reconnect fresh
Step 4: Verify GMC Side
Section titled “Step 4: Verify GMC Side”- Log into GMC directly
- Verify account is active
- Check for GMC-side issues
When to Contact Support
Section titled “When to Contact Support”Contact support if:
- Repeated connection failures
- Error messages unclear
- Connection works but sync fails
- Direct upload consistently failing
